1. MUD-TRAKS^®  is an engineered, Portable Roadway System, made from a space-age fiberglass composite material. This is the strongest mat system ever offered to the mobile home industry. MUD-TRAKS will carry the weight of a mobile home without breaking, splintering, or folding up, even when matting over tire ruts, rocks, curbs, and mud that looks like "chocolate pudding".

2. We have added "Spikes" as a standard part of our Mobile Home mats. The "Spikes" keep the tow vehicle from "spinning out" the mats from under the drive wheels. "Spikes" are actually bolts that protrude below the mats about 3/4". If you don't use mats under the tow vehicle, you can remove the "Spikes". They are not needed for supporting the home.

3. When laying MUD-TRAKS , overlap them about 6". This is true for any type of sheet product you would be using whether it's plywood, plastic, or old "aircraft" landing mats. Always overlap in the direction the Manufactured Home is going. That means picking up the end of the "ground" mat and sliding the tip of the new mat underneath. That way the mat being driven on controls the tip of the next mat. This is particularly important on extremely soft ground or on uneven surfaces. If the mats are overlaid the wrong way or just butted together, the tip of a mat can flex up and catch the under carriage of the house or will get between the house tires. The softer the mud, the more overlap is required. For "chocolate pudding" it can be as much as 2 feet. Controlling the tip of the mat prevents most of the problems that can occur.

4. The MUD-TRAK product line is actually (3) three distinct items:

   
   
   

   A.  MUD-TRAKS^® :

   Can handle the weight of any manufactured house. They are offered in the following widths, 22", 32" and 45" and can be any length. Keep in mind that weight is a big factor in the decision of which mat to order. The most popular mat, Model N2272HDS-MH, is 22" X 6' and weighs32lbs. The largest mat, Model N4596HDS-MH, weighs 92 lbs., is used for cranes up to 100,000 lbs. to set modular sections. Mats made for the Mobile Home industry come with hand cut-outs for ease of handling.

   Rule of Thumb - If the ground is so soft that a bulldozer is needed to pull the house in, MUD-TRAKS will still keep the house up. No Excuses!

      

   B.  Jack Pads:
   

   Made from the same material as our MUD-TRAKS. In fact, MUD-TRAKS can be used for jacking the house. But we've built the Jack Pads 24" square with (1) one hand cutout for ease of handling under the house. Weight 12 lbs.

   C. Dozer Mats :
   

   Made from tough rubber belting material. It's a simple product for those of you who use bulldozers to move houses. They keep the steel tracks from tearing up the highway or the roadway in mobile home parks. A lot easier than using old tires.

   
   

5. Clean any of the MUD-TRAKS products with a water hose and elbow grease. Yes! Mud does stick to them just like anything else.

6. Even though we use UV inhibitors, the sun finally gets to them. The life expectancy can be greatly increased if the mats are stored inside or covered from direct sunlight when not being used.

7. We make all sizes of mats: shorter, longer, wider, narrower, and stronger. Color, shape, textured surface; we do it all. We can customize MUD-TRAKS to do your job.

8. MUD-TRAKS are traction mats with a sharp, tough surface. They WILL cut you if handled bare-handed. Eye and hand protection are required.

9. We put hand cut-outs on the side of the mats to make them easier to handle. Lay the mats in such a way that tires do not cross over the hand cutouts.
